Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, today announced it has recently received six awards from highly respected supply chain publications. The third party logistics (3PL) provider received awards acknowledging its commitment to supply chain excellence, sustainable practices and delivering innovative solutions to its customers. The publications that have recognized Transplace include: Inbound Logistics, Supply & Demand Chain Executive, SupplyChainBrain and Food Logistics.

Transplace received recognition from Inbound Logistics in three categories: “G75” green supply chain sustainability partner listing, “Top 100 3PL Provider” listing, and ranked second in the “Top 10 3PL” list for exceptional supply chain execution. Supply & Demand Chain Executive acknowledged Transplace among the best supply chain solutions and service providers in their “Top 100” list. Food Logistics named Transplace in its “Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers” list for the company’s commitment to the food industry. Additionally, Transplace was selected as one of Supply Chain Brain’s “100 Great Supply Chain Partners” for providing solutions and services that significantly impacted a customer’s supply chain.

“Transplace is honored to be recognized by such respected supply chain and logistics publications,” said Transplace President and Chief Commercial Officer George Abernathy. “We are driven to continue delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations and evolving needs.”

Inbound Logistics’ “Top 10 3PL Provider’s” list serves as a qualitative assessment of service providers the publication feels are best equipped to meet and surpass readers’ evolving outsourcing needs. The Top 10 list aims to highlight the best logistics solutions providers that answer global supply chain and logistics challenges. Transplace appeared on the list for the 12th consecutive time, being ranked second – its highest ranking to-date. In addition to the “Top 10” and “Top 100” lists, Transplace was featured in a special “Lean and Green” issue among 75 leading companies for green supply chain management.

The 2014 Supply & Demand Chain Executive “Top 100” are supply chain solution and service providers that are helping their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence. With this year’s list, the magazine looked to highlight ‘100 Great Supply Chain Projects’ that demonstrate the broad spectrum of opportunities for enabling excellence in the supply chain. Transplace was recognized for its transportation management solution (TMS) to keep nearly 100 ship points connected with a system that allowed multiple users to access critical information and streamline operations from multiple locations.

Every year, Food Logistics identifies the leading 3PLs to the food industry. These 3PLs offer a broad range of services that allow companies to reduce costs, improve productivity and enhance customer service. The publication’s goal is to highlight a broad range of outsource services targeted at the food industry, addressing the needs of companies of varying sizes that make up the food supply chain.

SupplyChainBrain’s “100 Great Supply Chain Partners” recognizes vendors and service providers whose technology, logistics, transportation or consulting solutions have made a significant impact on its customers’ supply chain efficiency in recent years.
