Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, today recognized Pamela Johnston, Dona Vidal and Sean McAloon for individual achievements in obtaining advanced certification and leadership appointments by respected industry associations.
Transplace Vice President, Legal and Risk Pamela Johnston was elected to the Executive Committee of the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA) as a representative-at-large. Johnston was one of four legal professionals serving the transportation industry elected to serve two-year terms in this role. TLA is an independent, international bar association whose members assist providers and/or commercial users of logistics and transportation services. For over 75 years, TLA has been in the forefront of educating transportation attorneys and currently has over 1100 members.
Transplace Cargo Claims Manager Dona Vidal was elected president of the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council(CCPAC), an organization of claims professionals that seeks to raise the professional standards of individuals who specialize in the administration and negotiation of freight claims. With significant experience in cargo subrogation and knowledge in freight claims, Vidal will lead the council initiatives in the development and education of freight claims professionals. The announcement was made in April at the 2013 Transportation & Logistics Council conference in San Diego.
Transplace Business Analyst and Solutions Engineer Sean McAloon received the Association for Operations Management (APICS) Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) credentials. The APICS CSCP designation is the most widely recognized educational program for operations and supply chain management professionals around the globe. Obtaining these credentials came as part of Transplace’s mission to expand the knowledge and expertise of its management team beyond transportation, encompassing all major facets of supply chain management.
