Here’s a Sneak Peek of Shipper Symposium 2014!

We’re really looking forward to spring, and not just for the warmer weather! Spring means our Shipper Symposium is right around the corner!  Hard to believe, but this the 12th year of our signature industry event, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring together a group of industry experts with steeped backgrounds and unique perspectives on global, national and local transportation opportunities and challenges.

Here’s a quick preview of two of the speakers we are particularly excited to hear in May:

Todd Buchholz has served as a former White House director of economic policy, a managing director of the $15 billion Tiger hedge fund and an economics teacher at Harvard.  His knowledge spans global politics, economies and financial markets, and at the Shipper Symposium he will offer insight into the challenges and opportunities facing today’s economy.  He has written best-selling books on economics and the financial markets as well as articles for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Forbes and Reader’s Digest.  Buchholz has some seriously broad, diverse experience in fiscal politics, finance and business strategy – and his insightful speaking engagements have earned him a place in Successful Meetings Magazine’s “21 Top Speakers for the 21st Century”!

Christopher Wilson leads research and programming on regional economic integration and U.S.-Mexico border affairs at the Mexico Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He has worked for the U.S. military, utilizing his vast knowledge of U.S.-Mexican relations and foreign policy, and has been widely consulted for this expertise, even testifying before Congress. He is the author of Working Together: Economic Ties between the United States and Mexico, and he has written articles for the Wall Street Journal, CNN and Reuters. At the Shipper Symposium, he will share his expertise on NAFTA in its 20th year and its impact on Mexico and the U.S.

We can’t wait to hear these great speakers, and there will be loads of other exciting sessions and events at the 12th annual Shipper Symposium on May 12-14 at the Grand Hyatt DFW!
