Positions Available:
Technical Lead
Manage application environments providing operational support and by delivering infrastructure services including installation, configuration and administration. Lead projects to plan and deploy new application environments complying with business demands, availability, scalability and capacity requirements. Install web/application server softwares - Oracle weblogic server, Tomcat, Apache and various vendor products on Windows Server/VMware platform. Upgrade and deploy new versions as required. Configure and maintain application infrastructure hosting Java/J2EE and C++ applications. Function as a liaison with multidisciplinary IT groups including Network, Systems, Storage and Database to deliver, manage and troubleshoot application infrastructure issues. Interact with Service desk, Level 2 Support and developers. Create and maintain documentation on servers, specifications, configuration items (CIs), SOPs, monitors and troubleshooting best practices. Perform incident, problem, change, access and configuration management activities across Production/UAT/Test/Development/ Test/UAT and production application environments. Analyze, debug and resolve application environment problems, perform root cause analysis and performance tuning as required. Assess existing environment to identify problems and opportunities, evaluate and implement technical standards and best practices to ensure reliability and security and to meet compliance and SLA requirements. Be prepared to work off-hours as required to implement production changes and to resolve escalated production issues. Demonstrate analytical and technical skills in supporting application infrastructure technologies including Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, J2EE, Linux OS, Windows Server, HP diagnostics, Sitescope, F5 load balancing and DNS. Establish configuration standards, automate processes, develop scripts and setup availability/performance monitors to improve operational efficiency. Ensure that tools and industry best practices are in place and adhered to for web and middleware technologies. Participate in feasibility analysis and work with technical peers on environment upgrades, capacity planning and design discussions. Work in team environment while being self-directed, proactive and action oriented, plan work effort and manage schedule and priorities. Demonstrate leadership applying organizational skills, interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and a strong work ethic.
Masters degree in any major + 3 years IT experience (will accept Bachelors degree in Electronics or Computers + minimum 7 years of IT experience) with Application Infrastructure focus that must have included Web/App server administration, web infrastructure/operations management, distributed computing, n-tier architectures/ design. Must have strong experience in all stages of SDLC, Six sigma methodologies, IT processes, policies and best practices, strong technical skills in Oracle Weblogic administration, Unix(Solaris), Linux, Windows Server, Shell Scripts, ,Tomcat, Apache, Oracle PL/SQL, J2EE web technologies, C++, C, Microsoft office, Microsoft Project, Networking, Load balancing, Virtualization technologies/VMware, J2EE diagnostics and Sitescope.
